From Concept to Commissioning: Engineering Data and Technical Resources for Building Services Consultants

Commercial Heat Pump Specification Support for New Build Projects

Designing a commercial heating system for a new building is a high-stakes exercise. The building services consultant carries the responsibility of selecting equipment that will perform reliably for 15 to 20 years, meet increasingly stringent Building Regulations Part L requirements and satisfy the sustainability ambitions of the client, the planning authority and the eventual occupants.
At ICG Heat Pumps, we exist to make that process easier. We provide the technical resources, engineering data and design support that consultants need to specify commercial heat pump systems with confidence. We are not a catalogue with a phone number. We are an extension of your design team.

What We Provide

Trusted by Tier 1 UK Contractors

Our engineering-led approach ensures our heat pumps pass the most rigorous procurement and design filters, we have supplied equipment on to many new build sites for operated by Tier 1 contractors like  Hill Group, BAM Construction, Willmott Dixon, REDS 10 and Morgan Sindall
Selection and Product Data
Every project starts with accurate data. We provide a heat pump selection based on your specific design conditions: ambient temperature range, flow and return temperatures.

Noise data, electrical information, installation space pump curves, operational maps and controls configuration are all supplied as part of one of our proposals and are easy to navigate.

No assumptions. No generic datasheets. Performance data calculated for your project.
CAD and BIM Files
We supply CAD drawings and 3D BIM objects for our equipment, formatted for integration into your design models. Plant room layouts, clearance zones, connection points and weight data are all included, saving your team hours of modelling time.
Hydraulic Design Assistance
As part of our proposals, we provide example hydraulic schematics specific to the range of units in our proposal. Once you have produced your own schematic, we will be by your side to make observations and suggestions based on our experience of working on 100s of projects.
Part L / BREEAM Compliance
We supply certified performance data, SCOP and SEER (efficiency) information based on your exact working conditions. These are used in SAP/SBEM to support Part L compliance. For BREEAM-targeted projects, we provide evidence needed to demostrate compliance with Pol 01.
Advanced heat pump systems

Technology for New Build

New build projects benefit from the flexibility to design the emitter network around the heat pump's optimal output temperature, rather than retrofitting around an existing high-temperature system. This opens up the full range of our product portfolio.

For projects requiring natural refrigerant technology, our Midea Mars and Euroklimat Hera ranges offer R290 heat pumps from 20kW to over 4608kW with flow temperatures from 30°C to 85°C. For large simultaneous heating and cooling applications, Clivet's polyvalent 4-pipe systems deliver exceptional efficiency by recovering waste heat from cooling zones to supplement the heating circuit.

Testimonials

The Project Manager's Technical Partner

"During the installation works taking place, I had numerous visits from the ICG team to check in on site to create a smooth commissioning period which I am a big admirer of, organising a date wasn't an issue and engineers attended in a timely manner with a view to help and get the project completed."
Chris Freeman, Project Manager at G&H
