673 Year old Cambridge College campus heated with Euroklimat Air Source Heat Pumps
Founded in 1348, Gonville and Caius College is one of the oldest colleges in Cambridge, with buildings spanning nearly 700 years. Its historic “Old Courts” include structures dating back to the 14th century, alongside later additions from the 18th, 19th, and modern eras. The College set out to significantly reduce it's carbon footprint by replacing gas-based heating systems with a low-carbon alternative–while preserving its historic fabric and maintaining day-to-day operations.
Institute of Sport, Yeovil College, Somerset
Yeovil College is a major further education provider serving Somerset and the surrounding region, with a broad offer that includes academic study, apprenticeships, technical training, and employer-led skills development. As part of its long-term campus transformation programme, the college launched the YC Big Build, a major redevelopment designed to replace older buildings with modern teaching, specialist, and performance facilities. One of the flagship elements of that programme is the new Institute of Sport, created to support student-athletes, performance sport, and specialist training pathways.
100 Hagley Road, Edgbaston, Birmingham
100Hagley Road underwent a major refurbishment to transform an ageing office building into a modern, energy-efficient commercial workspace. The scheme included extensive structural and internal alterations, together with a complete upgrade of the building services to meet contemporary occupier requirements. As part of the project, ICG Heat Pumps supplied the heating and cooling plant serving the fan coil system, helping to deliver year-round comfort and improved operational efficiency.
M&Econtractor Novus Mechanical successfully installed the full mechanical and electrical services within a demanding programme, while carefully workingaround existing tenants in the partially occupied building.
Originally an outdated office asset, the building was comprehensively redeveloped to create a higher-quality, more flexible workspace suited to modern occupiers. The refurbishment also enhanced the building’s energy performance and marketability, supporting the long-term value of the asset.
